Defence of New Zealand Study Group

The Defence of New Zealand Study Group (DONZ) is a non-profit membership-based organisation that publishes research on NZ military history, produces a periodical and lobbies for military heritage protection. Formed in 1996, it is co-ordinated by Peter Cooke BA(Hons) in Wellington. DONZ publishes the biannual journal Forts & Works, full colour, A4, usually 24pp.

Subscriptions are $25 for 1 year and $40 for 2 years – NZ currency for NZ addresses, AUD currency for Australian addresses and US$20/36 or £12/20 or 16e/28 for all others. Each subscription includes two issues of Forts & Works per year. An index and back issues are available.
